Como se puede ver en el primer tráiler de la película, a Free Guy no solo no le faltan escenas de acción espectaculares, sino que también presume de tener mucho sentido del humor, y es que no podría ser de otra manera, pues está dirigida por Shawn Levy, productor de todas las temporadas de Stranger Things que, además, se ha traído consigo a Joe Keery, Steve Harrington en la serie de Netflix, que parece que va a interpretar al segundo del tipo malo al que da vida el actor/ director Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok). Jodie Comer, ganadora del Emmy a Mejor actriz por Killing Eve será quien le acompañe en esta aventura descabellada.

Guy (Ryan Reynolds) trabaja como cajero de un banco, es un tipo alegre y solitario que viste impecable, y al que nada va a amargarle su día. Da igual que le le pisoteen, le atropellen, o le utilicen como rehén durante un atraco a su banco, él sigue sonriendo como si nada. Claro que un día, se va a dar cuenta de que Free City no es exactamente la ciudad que él creía. Guy va a descubrir que en realidad es un personaje no jugable dentro de un brutal videojuego de mundo abierto. Ahora que sabe que es un personaje de videojuego, Guy, acompañado por Molotov Girl (Jodie Comer), decidirá enfrentarse a todos los villanos que asolan la ciudad.

El 3 de julio llega a las salas de cine Free Guy, lo nuevo de Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool 2) y Jodie Comer (Killing Eve). Dirige Shawn Levy (Noche en el museo: El secreto del faraón) y, para que vayas calentando motores y recuerdes el humor característico de todo lo que toca el actor de Deadpool, en SensaCine te traemos en PRIMICIA un vídeo en el que Reynolds y Comer bromean sobre sus premios.
Como sabrás, Comer cuenta ya con un Emmy y un BAFTA por su papel de Villanelle en Killing Eve. Pero, que cada vez que habla la intérprete en el adelanto aparezca su nombre junto a sus logros, no es algo que haga mucha gracia a Reynolds. El actor, entonces, intenta que la balanza se equilibre y también se mencionen sus galardones, pero solo cuenta con la nominación a Mejor reparto coral en 2009 por Adventureland, el título de Hombre vivo más sexy en 2010 o la nominación a Mejor beso en 2010 por La Proposición y otras que... Bueno, definitivamente, no son equiparables a un Emmy o un BAFTA.
Freey Guy sigue a Guy (Reynolds), quien trabaja como cajero de un banco.
